If there was a US Open for talking crap about other people's game then we would have some top 5 people here. On a serious note I don't have any where enough game to make it out of the parking lot for qualifiers!

Re: Anyone trying out for the U.S open
I missed my chance last year or the year before I believe. A qualifier was held at my club and I didn't sign up in time. For the hell of it I went out with the head pro and 2 other guys after the last qualifier tee time. I would have moved on. The money we had on that match was a good amount so I think there was equal pressure.

I am considering it. Just need to get out and play so I can get my index down to scratch again.

Re: Anyone trying out for the U.S open
I played in 2 of them a long, long time ago (1984 & 1985). I was great fun both times. But that was 40+ lbs ago, and back when I had some game and one of those "Hollywood" handicaps. Now, I find myself looking forward to trying for the US Senior Am in a few years. Uh oh! Geezer alert!

Re: Anyone trying out for the U.S open
I'm not good enough... even if i were good it's at the wrong time of the year. My game goes into a 6 month hibernation. November thru May. I think I'd have about 3 weeks of practice time in before the qualifier, no thanks.
