Vokeys done in a Fowler-style for a customer
I was asked to do some stamping on a pair of new Vokey wedges recently and wasn't sure I'd like the way they turned out. Well, I like them more than I ever thought I would. He had his first name done in the bigger font, then you can see where his initials went...............all over the place. They were done in a satin black polymer, under the agreement that I love the way it looks, but the durability is still not 100% where I'd like it to be. The black formula has proven to be FAR superior to the white, so we'll keep our fingers crossed. I think that he understands that with wedges, a "durable" black is extremely rare, if not simply non-existent. Let me know what you think and thanks for the support. LaMont in AZ
Those look solid. It's a little busy for my personal taste, but the work is top-notch, as always.

Will be interesting to see pics of the wedge after the customer has gamed it a few rounds.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I am also very interested to see how they wear, when put into play. The wedges I was sent for this job were brand new. It is about the only way that I'll really work on this sort of stuff. I don't have the equipment to do grooving, so the faces pretty much stay as-is. I am a putter guy at heart, so these little diversions into wedges are cool, but not where I am looking to go, really. Tough to turn down the chance to do some stamping that you don't see everyday. It wasn't a look that I cared for, going in, but I can see some future "MKGW" stampings happening, on wedges.................who knows what brand. Thanks again, LaMont in AZ
